Is Life Time open 24 hours a day?

We can't find a single Life Time gym that has 24/7 hours. You'll need to find another gym chain if you'd like to workout in the late hours of the night.

We're not exactly sure why Life Time doesn't, but here are a few things they would need to consider: 

• What permits, rules or regulations are needed?  
• Would enough people show up? Generally there isn't a huge number of folks who workout in the middle of the night. 
• Can O2 adequately staff and resource itself for 24-hour operations? 
• How can they safely operate in the event of an emergency or medical issue? What about fire, theft, earthquake or storm?

While the exact times will differ for every location, the most common opening hours we've seen from Life Time are: 

• Monday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Tuesday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 4:00 AM – 11:00 PM

That 4:00 AM extra early start is the earliest time we've seen. Other gyms open at 5:00 AM or later, so Life Time does have an advantage here. 24/7 operating hours doesn't mean as much if their clubs open real early, and close super late. Kudos.

No Life Time location has 24/7 hours—you'll need to find another gym if you're looking to workout at late hours of the day. But with extremely strong operating times across the board, is the open-all-night option even needed?
