Can't wait to sweat it out? Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!
Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.
More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.
So what about Bay Club?
You got it. Bay Club absolutely offers saunas for their members. They've recognized the overall health and wellness benefits of this amazing amenity, and by our count has saunas at the majority of their locations.

How hot is the sauna at Bay Club?
Unfortunately we're not sure on the exact temperature at Bay Club—but we're looking into it. Of course, there will be variances between each location as well.
In our experience:
- Most traditional saunas we've seen have their temperatures set between 150 and 175 degrees F.
- Infrared saunas usually aren't quite as hot, and hover around 120 and 140 degrees F.
What kind of sauna does Bay Club have?
There are a few different types of saunas, with the most popular being "traditional" or "infrared." No mention of infrared on the Bay Club website, so it's quite likely you'll run into a traditional version.
Are there separate saunas for men and women?
Sorry, we don't know that yet. Check back here or join our mailing list for our latest updates.
What should I wear to the Bay Club sauna?
We haven't seen a specific dress code for using the sauna at Bay Club. But, here are some general guidelines we've seen:
- Expect to sweat—so dress accordingly. Yep, the heat will turn up your internal temps and sweat will soon follow. Make sure you're wearing clothes that wick and/or absorb your sweat easily.
- Make sure you're comfortable: most folks we've seen in the sauna are wearing the same athletic sportswear they use on the gym floor. Shorts, leggings, t-shirts and such.
- There are of course several recommended items to not wear: such as jeans, coats and heavy clothing.
Are the saunas free at Bay Club?
Yes, they definitely are. No extra charge or fees to use the sauna at Bay Club. This specific amenity is included in the total membership cost.
Wrapping it up
So, sauna fans: Bay Club is a solid option for you to check out. We're a fan of their general (really big! amenity set), so the sauna goes along well with their pools, pickleball and more. We do also expect high quality to go alongside their higher monthly price point.
