I know why you're here. Your newfound addiction of pickleball has you looking for a court. You're not alone! Pickleball is one of the most popular sports right now, an absolutely fun and addictive game for folks of all ages. 

Here at gymscompared.com, players are always asking us if a certain gym has a court. And it does make complete sense. Wouldn't it be great if your pickleball matches were at the same location as your daily workout?

Yes, more and more gyms across the country are starting to add pickleball as an amenity—and you're in luck, we've got the full list.

Unfortunately... LA Fitness does not list pickleball as an amenity, at any of their 376 locations. 

However, users are reporting that the Kent, Washington location does indeed have it. We called them (July 9th, 2023), and the front desk indicated they do offer it, either on the basketball or racquetball areas. 

• No paddles or balls are offered for use (bring your own!). 
• You'll also need to make a reservation either "on the phone" or "at the front desk."
• Unknown if signage exists (to help with scheduling, play times, reservations).

This is a classic case of an individual gym seeing market demand, and adding the net themselves for play. You just do need to be aware that without full guidelines or equipment setup, you're a bit on your own to make sure play goes smoothly!

This one was tough: We checked every single web page of their 376 locations. We crawled through Google as well as their Facebook pages. Finally, we connected with their customer care teams. They confirmed: no LA Fitness locations (officially) have pickleball.

LA Fitness is actually at the top of our list of gyms that have an insane amount of amenities. Yes, they pack their clubs with all the goodies, here's why we think adding pickleball could work.

• A good portion of LA Fitness Gyms locations offer basketball—meaning there is already a space that could be converted into pickleball. This is not a guarantee though: sometimes basketball areas are only half-courts—not quite big enough. Also their basketball areas may be much busier or in high demand. All we're saying is that there is potential for pickleball to be played here.
• LA Fitness is also an amenity rich gym chain. They have full size gyms where many feature pools, saunas, towel service and more. We wouldn't be surprised if Pickleball were to be added at a couple locations in the future.
• They already offer and setup sports leagues for volleyball, basketball and racquetball. Pickleball enthusiasts would love some organization in playing competitively. LA Fitness' existing leagues already prove they can support it.
• The monthly membership cost supports more amenities. Unlike their cheaper competitors, the $40 monthly membership price allows the gym chain to support several gym benefits: pickleball for sure.

No idea. Above is our fitness background showing why it could work. But, know that:

• We don't have any insider info or tips if it's coming
• No mention of pickleball anywhere on their website, or social pages
• It's just that single, Kent, Washington location going rogue and setting up their own net and court. We'll see if others follow suit!

No (official) pickleball at LA Fitness gyms, sorry y'all! While we don't have any insider info if it's coming in the future, we do know that this gym chain has all the pieces to make it come true. Should they offer it? Would you switch gyms to both workout and play at LA Fitness?
