Of their 18 total gyms, 13 of them, or 72% of clubs, offer childcare. That's great news for parents, as they'll be able to get a sweat in while their kids are playing nearby.
Of course, we didn't expect anything less from California Family Fitness. With facilities that are geared towards total family health and wellness, this club is a strong contender if you're looking to join a health club.
What can I expect from California Family Fitness' childcare offering?
Quite a bit—their child and kids offering is pretty extensive. Here's how it works:
- Infants - They can help supervise, play and take care of children aged 3 months to toddlers. The area is separate from the main play section, and all the typical baby/infant stuff is there: diaper changing stations, bouncers, walkers, and stimulating age-appropriate toys. Of course, it's 100% attended by trained staff at all times.
- Young kids - smaller up to age 4. More age-appropriate fun and games, along with arts and crafts, story books and more. Here's why we love California Family Fitness: some locations get a dedicated, outdoor playground.
- Kidz Klub - For children aged 4 to 11. Depending on location, your kid will see different amenities. Some of our favorites: a kid-sized basketball court, climbing maze, and air hockey. Even better: a kid friendly (supervised) climbing rock wall. Yes, really!
There is a 2-hour time limit per day, with kids actively supervised. With so many play options provided, California Family Fitness is one of the best child-focused gyms out there.
Is childcare free at California Family Fitness?
Yes, it is included in your monthly membership cost. Know that access to a single-club is somewhere around $60/month—typically more than many of the other gyms you'll see on this site.
But, with single-day passes at other gyms for kids/childcare around $25, just one visit here with your child already makes it worthwhile. And with all that Cal Fit offers, we're sure that you'll be back often.
