Ready to turn up the heat? Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!
Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.
More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.

What to wear to the sauna at UFC Gym?
UFC Gym doesn't specify anything on their website, but we rounded up some general tips:
- Expect to sweat—so dress accordingly. Yep, the heat will turn up your internal temps and sweat will soon follow. Make sure you're wearing clothes that wick and/or absorb your sweat easily.
- Make sure you're comfortable: most folks we've seen in the sauna are wearing the same athletic sportswear they use on the gym floor. Shorts, leggings, t-shirts and such.
- There are of course several recommended items to not wear: such as jeans, coats and heavy clothing.
How hot is the sauna at UFC Gym?
Unfortunately we're not sure on the exact temperature at UFC Gyms—but we're looking into it. Of course, there will be variances between each location as well. Read on for more about the saunas temperature and types.
What kind of sauna does UFC have?
UFC Gyms have both types of popular saunas. While we don't know which exact type each location has, we do have the overall total. Check back here soon, we're working on getting that exact list.
Anyway, there are "infrared" and "traditional" saunas out there. The difference between the two? Primarily how they distribute heat.
- Traditional saunas use heated stones and water to heat the surrounding air—creating an atmosphere that is both hot and humid.
- Infrared saunas are ""light"" aka UV based, and give direct warmth to heat the body—similar to the feeling when you step into the sun, but at a much higher temperature, of course.
Which is better? It's a matter of personal preference.

Are there separate saunas for men and women?
Sorry, we don't know that yet. Check back here or join our mailing list for our latest updates.
Are the saunas free at UFC Gym?
They are. Access to them is covered under their basic plan "Fitness." Stepping up to "Challenger" or "Champion" membership plans gets you other amenities: primarily classes and guest privledges.
In conclusion
UFC Gyms have a slightly different focus for their members compared to traditional gym chains— incorporating boxing, jiu jitsu and other martial-arts. But, they still understand body recovery and wellness, including saunas at 30 of their locations. This is a great combo gym chain—an excellent option if you want to put variety in your workouts and still unwind in the sauna afterwards.
